Kenny Hamber was born in Baltimore, Maryland. Realizing that he was gifted, Kenny started his career at Weldon Baptist Church as lead male vocalist and sang with various du-wop groups singing five part harmony.
Kenny delivers his outstanding vocal qualities to thousands of enthusiastic fans around the world. He has appeared with such performers as the Temptations, The Four Tops, James Brown, The Stylistics, Dionne Warwick, Gladys Knight, The Manhattans, Blue Magic, Ray Goodman and Brown, JoMarie Payton, Jeane Carne, Donna Allen, Shirley Murdock, Gladys Knight, Jerry Butler, The Platters and the late great Jackie Wilson. Kenny hosted his own TV show in Washington D.C.
His recording career started in Baltimore, MD when he was a young teen. Working with a local disc jockey, Kenny recorded a number of singles which did quite well. He was eventually signed by ABC Records as the lead vocalist for The Hitchhikers.
With years of performances, recording, producing and directing behind him, Kenny still tours and performs internationally to thrilled audiences everywhere. Working with new producers and writers, Kenny has released a couple of CDs including a new gospel one which helped him obtain the award of Best Male Gospel Vocalist for New England.
This man was dubbed the “Voice of Heart and Soul.” One only needs to listen to hear it.
